Feels like everywhere we turn nowadays, we see a sale going on. And Jilly could have been the voice you hear sometimes, cajoling you to grab a great deal or to just say hi!

Jilly loves loves LOVES Christmas! Well, much more when she was a child, but it still is a magical season for her.
She feels that nothing seems to accentuate or even create that mood as much as music. So she consider herself blessed to be able to sing at the swanky new 112 Katong along East Coast Road. Sebastian Ho will join her with his festively awesome guitar skills. There is no charge for the gig at the mall, with lots of cheer to share. Catch them at these show time slots on both December 25th and 26th: 2 to 2:30pm 6 to 6:30pm Everyone is invited. So we hope to see you there, and happy holidays to all! :) More prompt & live updates at facebook.com/t.jill For the long silence. I've been busy, or lazy. But here's a little bit.
I'll be in LA for a month from October 7th. Contact me via this page if you're there and would love to meet, to work with me, or to get a copy of my CD, "Four Tunes", a little EP, which you can listen to here. Lyrics here. I'm one of those folks who love physical CDs, so I made one. Besides I'm not very good at figuring out how mp3 sales work. Yet. I've had lots of great gigs and worked with lovely friends in the last number of months. You know who you are. Thank you all! :) Jilly is honoured to sing with Live Orange from Japan this Tuesday! With guitarists: Shuji Sakurai & Nigel Tan So please join us. All for a good cause. :-) Free entry but donations are welcome. Sept 14th 2010, 8 to 10pm at Blu Jaz Cafe (Details and map) Check out & share their Facebook event link! From liveorange.net:

A little late but... better than never! An amateur science geek and big kid at heart, Jilly was very lucky to be the emcee for this fun-filled annual festival over 4 days. Held in the National Library Board's events plaza at Victoria Street, the exhibits from the Singapore Science Centre were visited and explored by folks of all ages and walks of life. By weekend, the place was buzzing with excitement as kids spilled over the workshop counters, learning about balance, physics, mathematics and aerodynamics and more! All this while proudly making souvenirs they could bring home themselves. There was even a fun high-energy show by the awesome Renae and Carly from Scitech, Perth! Thanks to my pal, Gary Ow, for the video below. :-) Now what makes us go "wow"? Art? Gorgeousness? Colours? How about an explosion of all that in a pad? Yes, this is Kotex Wow, which will be sold in stores from September 13th. Jilly was glad to be the emcee for an exclusive launch event on August 21st where bloggers were invited to be amongst the first to experience this new exciting product. Here are a few pictures, courtesy of Tiffany. Thanks! :-) At Heaven's Loft where the food was delightful, and the girls were lovely company! Look at the beautiful artwork the girls created together! Truly... WOW!

So here is an article about War on Wheels. In December Jilly sang with Jazz Kitchen at PPL Shipyard, acted as the well-manicured Lush for an event for the Marina Bay Sands, and also emcee'd for Estee Lauder Companies and Kotex under Kimberly-Clark. Been busy teaching drama every morning, and singing every night. Yawn. Blogging abt the music on zjil.blogspot.com and planning a show called "Stand Up And Sing" featuring all original songs and the stories behind them. Apologies for the delay. But still, she appreciates that you stay tuned... Thank you! |
